To refresh is to renew and restore. When your body is feeling depleted, many times the solution is drinking a refreshing glass of water. Without water you couldn’t survive.
Water is referenced 482 times in the Bible. When your soul is depleted, you need to reach for living water. Without this living water, your soul can’t thrive.
Inspirational Bible Verses to Refresh your Soul

Living Water
Jesus said: But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. John 4:14
I equate being thirsty to searching and not being satisfied. So many people are searching for love, happiness, fulfillment, success, security, and peace. The process is exhausting. The problem is searching for other things to satisfy that thirst. The results may work, but only temporarily. Ultimately, our souls cry out. Jesus said, “Those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.” Through Him, we never need to thirst again.
If your soul is parched and you need the healing power and satisfaction of living water, renew your commitment to draw closer to your Creator. Take time to be still and allow Christ’s peace and presence to refresh your dried up places. Enjoy the peace and satisfaction that only God’s love can bring.
I hope that these verses have refreshed your soul.

March 17, 2016 11:27 amHi Doreika,
I am so sorry to hear about your situation. Of course you will feel all of those emotions. You must feel them then let them go. I pray that God will give you strength, comfort and peace. Take good care of yourself so that you can take good care of your children.

July 4, 2012 2:40 amToday, when those difficult moments bleed into your day, identify what you grab when you are spiritually thirsty. Stop and ask yourself why you are grabbing it. Will it really meet your need without a downside? Try to understand that your deepest desire and drive is for a loving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Only His joy and peace will satisfy your thirst. When you are “thirsty†and need something, take a look at some of the attitudes or objects you turn to … food, alcohol, caffeine, attention, gossip, isolation, control, anger, shopping, status, money, health, kids, spouse, work, or productivity. You are drinking for sure. But drinking the wrong thing will eventually poison and kill you. Drinking the Living Water will bring all you could ever desire. What you drink is your decision, so choose well.
