The top ten inspirational photos with quotes were taken from my Facebook page. I post a lot there now, so it’s hard to keep up with the images. I’d be most grateful if you to Like and Follow my page. There are many more images there compared to when I wrote this post.
You also might notice that the logo on the Facebook post images and the page name is Joy And Flow. Since starting this blog in 2009, I have grown a LOT. We always need to be growing. This faith journey started with learning to be still, to healing from past trauma and wounds, to now living into joy and flow. That is where I aspire to live my life and want you to live there too. It’s a life of freedom, which is what our Christian faith is all about.
As with anything I write, my inspiration comes from a variety of places. Most of that inspiration seems to be coming from nature or from animals. My yellow lab Wilson was a source of inspiration 1) because he was so handsome and 2) he was so silly…. as you will see. He received the most views so far from my early postings.
Thanks to the iPhone, it’s easier than ever to snap a photo wherever I go. I’ll borrow David Letterman’s top ten list in order from ten to one. Hope that these inspire you. If you want to see more, please visit my Facebook page. To show your support, I’d love it if you would like and follow my page. Thank you!
Number 10: I was given this quote during a meditation retreat. The quote is supposed to be from Dr. Seuss, but I wasn’t able to confirm that. It sounds Dr. Seussy to me!
Number 9: Words don’t have to be complicated to mean a lot. Take the word – again. So simple, but so powerful. Meditate on this today.
Number 8: To embrace faith is to embrace mystery. We can’t see God, yet we know that he is at work in us and throughout the world. Who can explain what miraculous things happen? It is mystery. One of my Facebook followers said in response to this picture, “Every day it is something to be anticipated.” I love that!
Number 7: Until I took a month long prayer retreat, I used to think how important it was for us to believe, to believe in God. During my prayer time, God gave these words to me. Now I believe that God wants as much for us to believe in ourselves. These words weren’t just meant for me, they were meant for you. This word was the inspiration behind my book: God Notes – Daily Doses of Divine Encouragement.
Number 6: Life is about taking risks:
Number 5: It’s important to stop and smell the roses. I love it that my son tells me he loves me when we get off the phone. I didn’t hear I love you growing up. Tell people you love them.
Number 4: When your soul is hungry, feed it beauty. This picture was taken at the magnificent Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. I was so exhausted before I left on this trip. My tank was empty! This was a feast for the mind and soul.
Number 3: 10 words to change the world. My spiritual director told me this after he had heard an interview on the radio. How true.
Number 2: I was at the Philadelphia market taking a break from a writing weekend with Jack Canfield, best selling author from the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and many other books. There were beautiful fruits and vegetables everywhere. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, right? When life gives you lemons, you start thinking of all the things you are grateful for. Gratitude changes things.
Number 1: The most viewed picture featured our silly lab Wilson. He wants you to know that when you see something you don’t like in yourself, you need to see it lovingly.
I hope that these inspirational photos and quotes have done their job to inspire you. For more, visit my Pinterest or Facebook page. For more inspiration in written form, I created this eBook and audio book called Bringing God’s View Into Focus to Live Life with Joy and Flow. You can download a copy while it’s free.

May 30, 2016 2:39 amEvery now and then life takes its toll on us. So with that in mind here is a little mid-week refreshing. Take a few minutes to enjoy these amazing pictures and inspiring quotes.
